CASE STUDY 1 | CASE STUDY 2 |

Rural practice forestry, including lowland farm and traditional estate woodland management, remains at the core of our business.

Projects include:

  • Strategic advice, diversification and planning

  • Management planning, to achieve woodland objectives

  • Grants and licences, to secure economically sustainable landscapes

  • Woodland design and creation

  • Access and recreation

  • Timber sales and marketing

  • Contract management

  • Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)

LG has developed a broad range of forestry and woodland expertise. Current projects range from small privately owned woods, to the 48 hectare new Battram Wood in Leicestershire and the 560 ha of woodland on the Westacre Estate in Norfolk.

We provide advice on woodland diversification to enable estates and farms to make the most of their landscape resources. Diversification of traditional woodland ranges from recreational use, for example paintball and adventure activities, to the sale of woodfuel.

As the use of woodland evolves, advice on practical design, grant funding and community involvement become increasingly important for our clients.

Through the use of the latest technology, notably Global Positioning and Geographical Information Systems, we can ensure the successful establishment and maintenance of woodland.

The range and quality of our work is highlighted in the above case studies.
