FORESTRY CONSULTANT (Competitive Package)

This is a position for a professionally qualified forester wishing to develop a career in woodland management and professional forestry consultancy.

The Forestry Consultant role will work alongside and under the supervision of our senior forestry staff in all matters relating to lowland forestry.

This is a developmental role requiring the position holder and us to work together towards their achieving senior consultant status within an agreed period of around 2-5 years. The role is based at our Northamptonshire HQ, although home working arrangements would be possible in target areas in and around Central England. We require candidates to possess a good honours degree in Forestry or a closely related subject. Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters and/or an interest in arboriculture would be an advantage.

FORESTRY ASSISTANT (Competitive Package)

The growth of our business from 2 to 20 people is founded on the tried and tested approach of recruiting and developing assistants into senior professional positions. The Forestry Assistant role will work under the direction of our senior forestry staff to assist in all matters relating to lowland forestry.

This is a trainee role requiring the position holder and us to work together towards their achieving consultant status and formal professional recognition (usually MICFor) within an agreed period, usually around 2 years. The role is based at our Northamptonshire HQ and requires candidates to possess a good honours degree in Forestry or closely related subject and to be (or become) an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
