Lockhart Garratt was established in 1998 by John Lockhart and Graham Garratt.
The company has now expanded and diversified, in response to demand, to become one of central England's leading independent authorities on trees, woodlands and the related environmental landscaping issues. We pride ourselves in providing sympathetic, practical and pragmatic tree-related solutions to the built and wider environment.
Our specialist practitioners include chartered surveyors, chartered foresters, chartered environmentalists, arboriculturists, cartographers and qualified ecologists. Our staff are dedicated, motivated and friendly. Their continued professional development is of primary importance, ensuring that quality, up to date advice is available to all clients.
The Company works in all fields relating to trees and woodland; from one-off consultancy to long-term management arrangements; from small residential schemes to multi-million pound developments; providing consultancy to private clients and professionals, in particular Chartered Surveyors, Accountants, Solicitors and Architects.
Traditionally, the backbone of the business has been in estate and farm-based, lowland woodland management. More recently, rapid growth has occurred in other areas in response to increasing pressure on the rural and natural environment, as a result of residential, commercial and industrial development.
Following this expansion and to meet these new challenges, the Company now comprises three divisions:-
